Mumbai: Bombay High Court ne actress Rakhi Sawant aur unke ex-husband Adil Durrani ke beech chal rahe dono FIR cases ko quash (cancel) kar diya hai. Court ne kaha ki dono parties ne apne matrimonial disputes ko amicably settle kar liya hai aur ab dono taraf se “no objection” diya gaya hai.
High Court ke Justices Revati Mohite-Dere aur Sandesh Patil ki bench ne wo FIR quash ki jo Rakhi Sawant ne Adil ke khilaf 2023 mein file ki thi. FIR Section 498A (cruelty) aur Section 377 (unnatural sex) ke tahat darj ki gayi thi, jab dono ke beech personal dispute hua tha.
Court ke saamne dono – Rakhi Sawant aur Adil Durrani – present the. Hearing ke dauraan, Justice Mohite-Dere ne jab Rakhi se poocha toh unhone court mein kaha,
“Mujhe FIR quash hone par koi objection nahi hai.”
Isi ke saath, bench ne ek aur FIR quash ki jo Adil Durrani ne Rakhi Sawant ke khilaf Amboli Police Station mein file ki thi. Adil ne kaha tha ki Rakhi ne unke obscene photos WhatsApp par circulate kiye the. Lekin ab Adil ne bhi ek affidavit file karke court ko bataya ki unhe bhi FIR quash hone par “no objection” hai.
Court ne observe kiya ki dono taraf se consent mil gaya hai aur matter amicable settlement ke zariye solve ho gaya hai. Rakhi Sawant ne bhi repeat karke kaha ki unhe is quashing par koi objection nahi hai.
Is tarah, High Court ne dono FIRs — ek Rakhi Sawant ke dwara Adil ke khilaf aur ek Adil ke dwara Rakhi ke khilaf — quash kar diye, aur dono ke beech chal rahi legal fight ka chapter ab band ho gaya.
