Mumbai ke 12 restaurant owners ne Bombay High Court mein police ke herbal hookah raids ke khilaaf petition daayar ki hai!
yeh owners, jinme Ustaadi (Crawford Market), The Nest (Bandra), Rustico (Fort), aur Faham (Kala Ghoda) shamil hain, unhone kaha ki woh 2019 ke HC order ke mutabik tobacco-free herbal hookah serve karte hain, jo Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act (COTPA), 2003 ke under legal hai.
Advocates Rajendra Rathod aur Dhruv Jain ne argue kiya ki June 6, 2025 ke state home department circular, jo illegal hookah parlours par strict action mangta hai, unpar apply nahi hota kyunki woh non-tobacco products use karte hain.
Petitioners ne claim kiya ki police ne April aur May mein assurances ke bawajood unke restaurants par surprise visits kiye, herbal hookah band karne ke liye dhamkaya
